RUINED

RUINED takes audiences to a rain forest bar-and-brothel in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, where young women can find refuge – but not escape – from the chaos and violence that surrounds them.

RUINED won the 2009 Pulitzer, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Lucile Lortel Award, Obie Award and was extended eight times during its Manhattan Theatre Club run.

RUINED will be co-produced with the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles and will travel to South Africa’s Market Theatre where the story will be shared with Congolese refugees in Johannesburg.

As the 1950s come to a close in Pittsburgh, Troy's son pushes his father to let him pursue his own ambitions of becoming a professional athlete.
